At Home in LincolnshirePage updated 7th may 2008 Set in a good size plot about 4 miles from the North Sea coast of Lincolnshire we enjoy a relaxing lifestyle with none of the hassles of city (or even town) living. It is a wonderful situation for the dogs who have all settled in to a new way of life in the two and a half years we have been here. We all enjoy the 180 foot garden with patio, small pond, lawned area including shed, veggie plot and, eventually, a greenhouse. Also included is a larger area of grass with a number of fruit trees, all of which have provided us with bumper (so far) crops of plums and cooking apples. There are farm fields to the front, left and rear of the bungalow while on the right side we have a truly wonderful neighbour. Also, looking from the rear, we have a not-too-distant view of the Linconlshire Wolds which, specially in summer, gives some glorious sunsets.

In addition there is a wonderful dog-friendly beach a few miles away giving an all-year opportunity to ourselves and all the dogs to stretch our legs whenever we want.

We have recently had some work done to the front of the property which included block paving of the drive and re-laying the stone chippings. Also at the very front of the property, partially enclosed by hedges, an area has been cleared and is awaiting the better weather for some topsoil to be put on and then it will eventually become lawn. The main part of the project, which started on 2nd January, took just 14 working days to complete with the wet and cold weather preventing work for just a day or two. Many thanks to Les and his son Mike for all their hard work.
